Greetings Net-Land,
We've been seeing an alarming number of repeated news postings for the
last week or so. Most of the postings originating on 6-December, and seem
to be repeating every other day or so. (In fact, they seem to be the same
messages each day, although that could be over-generalized). Since we only
get news from one source, it shouldn't be a problem with our history file
or kill file or anything. But I am not ruling out that possibility. We are
running a version of B News 2.11 (PL 17 I think?).
I have noticed some other folks on the net mentioning it as well, so I am
wondering how many of you have also noticed it? Since its not certain its
not a local problem, I felt it best to post here to be sure. If any of you
have also noticed it, it would be helpful if you could post your thoughts
about this.
If the problem is indeed located in net-land rather than locally, does
anyone have any ideas on how to bring it to a halt? (Sounds like some news
site out there is bouncing duplicate messages around or something).
