[net.records] Stones' "Undercover"

ab3@pucc-h (Darth Wombat) (01/03/84)

The Rolling Stones are back! This has got to be the triumphant return
of the year, even surpassing Dylan's break from jesus-freakiness. This
album ROCKS like nothing the Stones have done in years; they've shown once
again why they are "The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band in the World".

Take that, Adam Ant, and the Clash, and the rest of the pretentious
Nouveau Wave/Punkers!

YEAHHH! The Stones! What a band! Sure, they don't tune up before they
play. Sure they don't remember the chords to their own songs. Sure, they've
burned out from brain liquification years ago. Sure, there are bands in
New Jersey bars that can play Stones songs better than the Stones can. But,
wow! The Stones! What a band!

There!! That'll teach those pretentious new wave punks like Billy Idol,
Adam Ant, Rick Springfield, John Cougar, Devo, the Clash, the Sex Pistols,
the Dead Kennedys, Kenny Rogers, Lionel Ritchie, Sheena Easton, Michael
Jackson, Joe Jackson, Andrew Jackson,

Where am I?

Who said this newsgroup had no purpose?
