Some time ago I sent a call for participation notice to the moderator
of the news.announce.conferences. Today I received this error

This seems a little odd, I would assume that a moderator would have
quite a large amount of mail and would arrange to have a very large mailbox.
Can anyone confirm that the mail arrived at the right place? Is the
moderator on holiday or otherwise unavailable? Is the site's mailer
working normally? How do I get my posting approved?

It sounds like is mailbox is actually full. Everybody on
CompuServe gets a set amount of storage for mail, and if this get full,
then the recipient can't get any more mail. I haven't used EasyPlex
(CIS' email system) enough to remember how much space is allocated.
The only thing I can suggest is that you try sending your mail
again.

Your message was received at either news-announce-conferences@mcmi or denny@mcmi (which is the right place), was approved, and was posted as "<1990Jan12.010019.18971@mcmi.uucp>" on "Fri, 12 Jan 90 01:00:19 GMT". Messages in nac are also distributed via mailing lists. The error you received, was from the Bitnet list (nac@vm1.nodak.edu) - one of the subscribers on that list is a compuserve address, and his/her/it's mailbox was full when your message arrived. Sorry 'bout the problem. Denny -- Good health is merely the slowest rate at which one can die.
