Ignoring for the moment your other comments, everyone should note the postings
that you should have read in news.announce.newusers which say that the group
comp.sources.unix is for major postings that would be valuable to everyone,
and should become a part of standard UNIX, examples being rn, perl,
(Larry Wall) and C News (Henry Spencer,Geoff Collyer - U of Toronto)

Postings which do not qualify under the specs of c.s.u are "dropped"
into the mailbox of comp.sources.misc, where Brandon Allberry may then decide
to put it out on c.s.m. It would seem that nobody has written any
"world" class programs recently (since perl) that qualify under the c.s.u
charter, hence no postings.

I consider Eric Allman's "parseargs" to be a "world class" improvement over
previous command line parsing schemes. I know it was sent to comp.sources.unix.
So where is it?

I have made numerous modifications to parseargs in the past few weeks. If it's
not going to come out in .unix I'll post my changes to .misc myself.
