I am a student here at Occidental College. My school is hooked up to
Internet. As such we (as students) have unlimited access to connect with
other computer systems. The only problem I am facing is that I haven't
found very many systems which give access to those outside of their
organization. The only systems I have been able to access so far has been
the CARL organization of colleges in Colorado, Dartmouth College in New
Hampshire and the University of California's library system as well as a
few BBS's. I am looking for the following types of things: computer
system's I can hook up to to just read files, play generic games, send
messages to other users and just explore a different mainframe environment
than what I am used to. I am also interested in Library systems in the
greater Los Angeles area. If anyone can give me info about other systems
open to general internet access, I would greatly appreciate it.
