It seems to me that one of the *responsibilities* of joining USENET is to respond to requests, such as the one above, in order to help things run a little more smoothly. Are you then implying that ignoring those responsibilities - not to mention just being uncivil - is the normal, acceptable behaviour? A little note from one of the root account holders saying something like "Yes, we are still here, the data is still correct and please don't post our net address publicly since we want to be a hidden node" must take about 30 seconds to type and send. BTW: It seems to me that someone asking if this is acceptable behaviour in this manner - by name calling and other derogatory remarks - is also trying to be a petty dictator. -david- Long live the revolution!
