I hate to complain about such a newsgroup ... BUT

was there any discussion about an interactive-videodisc newsgroup?

I certainly don't remember seeing any.  And neither does my roomate.

There certainly was.  I posted a message asking for e-mail votes
for the group (in accordance with established guidelines).  I collected
over 120 yes votes and no "no" votes.  I posted that we had achieved
the prerequisite number of votes and forwarded them to a certified
net.god who created the group.
