[news.sysadmin] UUCP sites in West Africa?

Does any one know of any UUCP/news sites in West Africa?  My father is
living over there and is interested in either getting a feed, or
an account on a relatively nearby machine with a feed. 
	Any pointers greatly appreciated,

  According to the UPI wire service:

"USSR Acknowledges Computer Viruses In Computers

  MOSCOW -- The Soviet Union said yesterday that so-called computer viruses
have invaded systems in at least five government-run institutions since
August, but scientists said they have developed a way to detect known
viruses and prevent serious damage."

  Although a "rash" of jokes immediately suggest themselves, I shall
restrain myself and send them to rec.humor instead.  But, I do wonder:
do they include our favorite Worm, or are they all home-grown Soviet?
