[news.sysadmin] I still have a uucico problem.

HELP!!!

This is my second try to resolve this, and I'm really pulling out my hair.
Does anyone know why my uucico seems to go deaf whenever it has to answer
the phone?

To detail the problem:
Whenever a uucp site tries to call in, everything goes normally until
the uucico fires up on my end. Then, everything sits with nothing
happening until a time-out occurs. On outgoing calls, like to uunet, etc.,
there are no problems what-so-ever.

I'm using a Convergent S/640 with a TB+ running Sys.VR2 and HDB for the
uucp. The line to the TB is straight-in, no data switches, etc.

I've tried looking at Permissions, Systems, gettydefs, Devices, Dialers,
and nearly everthing else I could think of to no avail. I've even checked
all these files against another nearly identical site (Thanks Dan@hrc!).

What would be really helpful, if any of you gurus could tell me, is a way
to debug a uucico on the answering end. I know it's real easy on the
Dialing end, but I've never seen any way to get the same detail this way.

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc. will be humbly appreciated; I'm to the
point that I can't see the forest because of the trees.
