There's a minor bit of namespace cleanup I'd like to propose: the merger of news.admin and news.sysadmin into a single group (to remain news.admin). As a follow-on, I'd like to suggest a group for systems administration issues to live under the "comp" hierarchy where it belongs. (E.g., rename "news.sysadmin" to "comp.sysadmin or comp.system-administration".) The problem with the two groups as they exist is that few people perceive a difference between them. News.admin is suppsed to contain "comments directed to news administrators", which is relatively clear, but news.sysadmin is supposed to contain "comments directed to systems administrators", which is straightforward, but since the group is in the "news.*" hierarchy, few people seem to understand this. There is certainly a need for a system administration newsgroup, but it belongs in comp.*, not news.*. It should be relatively trivial process to move it. Michael C.
