I'm wondering why are we seeing old messages posted on 8/18, 8/17, or even as early as 8/15. They appear like new messages, while I did read them before. What happened? Is that because part of the network was partitioned for a while? I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me why. This weekend we received a large number of old articles dating since 12 August; sites that keep history for 30 days were probably not affected. (We (used to) keep history for 20 days.) All the articles have "hpftc" in the Path. -- Felix Lee flee@shire.cs.psu.edu *!psuvax1!flee
