We have been running NEWS for just over a week, and have just encountered a problem with access. We had created a local newsgroup giving no write access to the general users..just read only. This was achieved using the SET ACCESS command. Every thing worked fine..users could read the item but not post or followup to the newsgroup. However, we discover that for no apparent reason, all users can now post to that newsgroup. We did not set or change any protections or acls. Would be extremely grateful for any help in this matter. We have the Newsskim procedure running everynight...does this do anything to the files or directories ?? Denis Hickey (hickeyd@ul.ie)
