To the uucico experts among us:
To the right person, this is probably a simple problem, but it has two
reasonably competent sysadmins stumped, basically because the problem
consists of an inconsistency *between* our systems. Computer X is a Sun
3/60 running 4.0.1. Computer Y has System V up on a 80386 clone running
HDB. We are trying to set up Y as a newsfeed for X. Y is already
feeds four other systems, all SysV. X is currently (actively)
receiving a newsfeed from uunet. At Y, the files for X, the permissions,
etc., all appear to be pretty much the same as Y's other uucp
neighbors. Both sites have TrailBlazer Pluses.
THE PROBLEM:
Regardless of who makes the connection, the initial handshake succeeds
but the first actual file transfer fails. We have run out of ideas.
Suggestions are welcome from any source. Thanks in advance to anyone
who would be willing to throw us any pointers.
