I will be moving to a new company that does not currently have news or mail.
I will be losing this account in two or three weeks and I would like to find
out as much as possible about what software and hardware I need and where I
can find the needed software. I will also be needing a connection but I
know a couple of people in the Boston area that may be able to help me in this
regard. Of course I wouldn't mind hearing from others in the 617 area code
who would be willing to be a news feed for a small company in Boston.
At this point things are totally open as to hardware. I was thinking of some
type of PC (hopefully a faster (20 MHz) PC) running SCO Unix (Xenix?) but I'm
not sure if this is a good choice. I am also not sure what would be the best
modem to purchase. I was thinking of one of the Telebit Trailblazers but I'm
not sure what is the most popular (read compatible) modem used at most sites.
Any and all help (including pointers to information) will be greatly
appreciated. Marc
