I was wondering how feasible this would be. I have just completed
developing a package that I send to sites that have just connected
to mine. The package consists of various information such as
the "How to" and misc info. files posted by Gene Spafford (thanx Gene)
and other files such as an up to date active file, newsgroups file,
a copy of "Most frequently asked questions in <foo>" and so forth.
It seems to be working fairly well so far and I was wondering how many
others have done the same and if we could implement this on a netwide
basis. In other words, have a standard version of this package that
each site gives to any new sites. This might cut down on all the
questions during the initial period when new sites are getting
familiar with usenet. Ideas? Comments and suggestions?
