A couple of days ago our junk directory under
the news spool directory received
about 6 articles in
talk.religion.newage
I manually created this group, removed the message-id
from the history file, and then resubmitted them using
"inews -p". Why didn't I receive an announcement message
about the creation of the new group (was it lost, or what?)
Also is
mod.mag.fidonet
a new approved newsgroup?

Fortunately, I get a daily report of the Usenet log, so I saw it come in. You should have two lines in your log file. One will announce the arrival of the newgroup message. The next will say 'talk.religion.newage not approved'. I'm running 2.11. Inews requires that newgroup messages have a header line "Approved: person-name". If it's not there, the group is not created. While this seems to be a good idea, many people who create groups do not add the required header lines. Perhaps there should be instructions on how these are appended? -- David S.
