Recently I finally found time to install patches 4-7 to News 2.11. No problem with 4 and 5. With patch 6 I had a problem that seems so improbable I think that I must have missed something. Patch 6 moves "mydomain()" from uname.c to pathinit.c. Then, when making the new system, the step: cc sendnews.o uname.o -o sendnews fails because it can't find _mydomain (which uname still references). I could "fix" this but I want to stay standard for future patches. And, since I've found the news software and patches to be SO reliable I'm certain there's something I'm overlooking.
