[news.software.b] Problem with shell-style expansion of names...

Vnews currently doesn't recognize meta-chracters like ~ when I am
prompted for a pathname into which a news article should be written
(use the "s" command to save to a file).  I'd like to see csh-style
expansion of meta-things in Vnews.

I'm not a C-shell user, but you can try setting the SHELL environment
variable to /bin/csh.  Hopefully, vnews uses this variable before is
spawns a subprocess...
