I recently updated the news 2.11 software on my system to patchlevel 8 and now I find that rnews -U no longer works. It does not unbundle the /usr/spool/news/.rnews/* files. It just sits there after a small amount of disk activity. My system configuration is USG and has SPOOLNEWS defined. Have I missed something here or am I the only one spooling my incoming rnews. I have tried patchlevels 12 and 13 with the same results. Help! Christopher R. Make sure you rm any .rnews.lock file that happens to be lying around in SPOOLDIR. That will cause rnews -U to hang. David Sherman -- { uunet!mnetor pyramid!utai decvax!utcsri ihnp4!utzoo } !lsuc!dave Pronounce it ell-ess-you-see, please...
