Our news history files are getting in the multi-megabyte range on a
nearly full filesystem:
history ~2 Mb
history.pag > 3 Mb
nhistory + nhistory.pag ~1 Mb
ohistory ~2 Mb
We're expiring news nightly so that the history file keeps up 10 days
worth of history. I don't want to shorten that since that seems to result
in duplicate articles getting delivered rather than getting filtered out.
Is there anything else we can do to cut down the size of the history files?
Can I truncate/remove ohistory and/or nhistory* w/o hurting things?
