We are trying to install 2.11 news. After localizing, make produces the following error while compiling ifuncs.c : ifuncs.c line 869 Loop detected. Simplify. Our machine is a Motorola 6600, nee Convergent Technologies Mega-Frame, based on a 68010 and the "CTIX" flavor of UNIX. Getting help to us may be a problem. Our host is supposed to disappear and we have not set up our link to UUNET because of a recent crash. Please try both posting and our direct path(s): Thank you! mandrill.CWRU.EDU!nitrex!rbl decvax!mandrill!nitrex!rbl hal.CWRU.EDU!rbl (216)-586-2461 -- Rob Lake BP America Research and Development decvax!mandrill!nitrex!rbl mandrill.CWRU.EDU!nitrex!rbl

It's not hard to blow up the old CTIX 3.20 (or earlier) C compilers. In most cases, compiling without -O will cure the problem. -- {alberta, pyramid, uunet}!ncc!lyndon lyndon@Nexus.CA Ain't singin' for Miller...
