Try to followup this message in comp.mail.uucp.  Do you get
"% interp buffer overflow!" followed by a graceful death of
rn?

I do on two different machines.

Only oddity about the article is a long References: line.

This is due to the size of LBUFLEN in common.h.  It was 512;
I raised it 1024 here and the followup works again.
