I would like to be able to have rn gather all the new articles in a certain group into a file and then save them to a file for mailing. Is there an easy way to do this from the shell prompt with flags an what-not, or is it more involved? I'd appreciate any ideas... I've done this here using the ^K command of rn: Use it when reading news in this group. It puts you in your favorite editor (see EDITOR in rn(1)), editing a file called $HOME/News/XXX/KILL. XXX is the name of the newsgroup where all the "." are replaced by "/". Just add, at the end of the file a line /^/s Then, each time you look for new messages in this newsgroup, rn will save them in a file $HOME/News/***, where *** is the name of the newsgroup.
