I have a problem on my system which two different sysadmin's have tried but failed to correct, and have turned over to me (a relative novice) to deal with because they have too many more "important" things to do. (please be patient :-)). We are running news B2.11 on a Sun 3/280 under SunOS 3.4. Everything works *EXCEPT* posting with a distribution of world. If I post to the world, the message appears on the local machine, but doesn't seem to go anywhere else (posts to misc.test are echoed if I post to na, but not if I post to world). We previously had run news on a 3b5 (AT&T System V) and had no problems of this sort; to the best of our knowledge, the same setup is being used on the Sun as we used on the 3b5. The 3b5 was taken out of commission, and so now we only have the Sun to post news from, and it won't ... Any suggestions would be appreciated. -- Orville R.
