I've seen the log-file awk script (Larry Blair's) that works with a modified C news distribution to produce information similary to Erik Fair's B news log file digestifier. Does anyone have a log-file awk script that work (giving less information of course) with Geoff and Henry's new "terse" log files? If not, has anyone spotted any documentation as to what exactly goes in log? -- A program should follow the 'Law of Least Astonishment.' What is this law? It is simply that the program should always respond to the user in the way that astonishes him or her the least. -- from 'The Tao of Programming'
