We run rrn/NNTP on a number of machines of several types (Vaxes, Suns, and others). Two of our machines (both Vaxes) have an annoying habit of refusing to read certain newsgroups. IE, I will be told 2 unread articles in essex.mail.texhax - read now? [ynq] but typing y or space will cause rrn to move on to the next newsgroup, having marked all articles as read in .newsrc. The same newsgroups can be read perfectly well on other machines. Probably, our build of rrn on Vaxes is faulty, but I can't find where. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
