[news.software.b] 'sys' file

HELP!

I am trying to get my 'sys' file right, but things are just not working out.

What I am trying to accomplish is get ONLY certain parts of groups (ie.)

	soc.culture,soc.college

but NOT the rest of soc. I have tried...

!soc,soc.culture,soc.college
soc.culture,soc.college,!soc
!soc,soc.culture.all,soc.college
soc.culture.all,soc.college,!soc

I keep getting the unwanted messages put into "junk". The error message I get
is:
Newsgroups in active, but not sys

Yes they are in active because the documentation says that ALL groups should
be in the 'active' file - elimination of groups should be done in the 'sys'
file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! A direct reply to me (mitch@hq) would
even be more appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Why not just ask your feed to only send you soc.culture and soc.college?
