We're running vnews (PATCHLEVEL 8 , NEWS_VERSION "B 2.11 4/10/87")
on SCO XENIX and it has occured to me that a user isn't notified when
new mail arrives. I've looked at the code, (visual.c) and can't seem
to find a "bug"... er... undocumented feature. Has this been fixed?
Never have been able to get patch to work right here, so I have to
hand change source. Also, has the mail notification feature ever been
added to readnews? I'm not interested in switching read programs,
everyone is used to them.
Oh yeah, one thing that bugs me is when "More (xx%)" is displayed, I
note that it switches to a negative number at some point in a large
file. Fix available? (vnews).
Also, the 'L' (list ALL articles) dosn't seem to work right, but only
shows unread articles. (vnews).
I'd like to be able to set up specialty newsgroups (local) that ARE NOT
accessable to everyone, but only qualified users. Can this be done?
May as well take care of it all at the same time.
