I am having several problems installing B 2.11.19 on an Ultrix 3.1 system. When I first compiled it, I had numerous problems with the DBM package already existing, so I grabbed GDBM and compiled with that. Here are the current problems: 1) Expire complains dbm_store fails. Using expire -r to recreate the database results in the .dir and .pag files being equal length, around 24k. 2) inews fails completely with a segmentation fault. Using inews from 2.11.18 works, allowing posting and incoming news to be processed. 3) The Path: line is wrong. For example, if I post (using Pnews) from a system which hostname responds to as "swan.ulowell.edu", but which is known to UUCP as "ulowell", I get the path Path: swan!swan.ulowell.edu Note my username does not appear, and the "swan" at the front is a UUCP registered name. The path should be ulowell!oneill or swan.ulowell.edu!oneill I have used gdbm for other things and not had a problem. Why should the Ultrix DBM fail in the compile?
