Trn v1.0 was mailed to comp.sources.unix last Sunday, so it will show up
in a few weeks (be patient).
If you want to get a jump on the crowd, you can use anonymous ftp to log
into caesar.cs.montana.edu, cd to /pub/trn, set mode to binary, and grab
the file trn.tar.Z. Jaye Mathisen asks that you restrict your access to
after 5 pm MDT, so please honor his wishes.
If any problems are noticed with FTP service, send e-mail to:
osyjm@caesar.cs.montana.edu (Jaye Mathisen)
For those that missed what trn _is_, it is a threaded newsreader based on
rn. "Threaded" means that it processes the reference lines and organizes
the articles into "threads of discussion" that take on the shape of a tree.
In addition, the newsreader as a handy thread selector/browser to speed your
travel through the high volume news groups. It requires the maintenance of
a thread database, which will require around 5% of your spool partition in
disk space on any partition (if you decide to thread all newsgroups).
