I know the reasons behind the official non-support of B News. But surely folks are frustrated with seeing almost every new site in the world (Japan is the most recent example) broadcasting control files to create new groups around the world. Couldnt someone, perhaps Spaf, or one of the news group control folks, create a patch 20 which changes the default from world to local for the newgroup command. I dont mind folks having the ability to send a world create newgroup if they want - it just does not make any sense for it to be the default. Local - or perhaps division or company - type distribution does make sense. -- Larry W.
