[net.music] Enough, already!

In the past week, I have seen around a half-dozen "here are MY favorites"
lists, which is around six too many.

C'mon, people, the readers of this net, and this group in particular,
are DIVERSE. If you want to compose a "top n," glue it on your stereo
or rearrange your record/tape shelf accordingly. "Top n" lists are an
exercise in narcissism, at best; nobody but the author particularly CARES
what your favorites are.

This is exactly the kind of mindless nonsense that caused me to unsubscribe
Yes is at least as absurd
as ranking Raiders of the Lost Ark relative to On Golden Pond.

C'mon, people, the readers of this net, and of interest groups in particular,
are DIVERSE. If you want to compose a "top n," glue it on your stereo

This is exactly the kind of ennui that caused me to unsubscribe
to net.movies. Ranking Bach relative to Yes is at least as absurd as
ranking "Raiders of the Lost Ark" relative to "On Golden Pond."

I found it very interesting to see what other people thought
were good albums. I am still making a list
and i was very happy that other peoples favorites were
mine too. So,ech, somebody does particularly CARE.
