I am experiencing a peculiar problem, which is nothing short of
incredibly irritating...it seems that any time someone sends out a
"sendsys" control message my news host gets serveral HUNDRED of them,
responding to each one (and mailing me a message each time it does
this). The only thing I can come up with is a problem with the history
mechanism, but we don't seem to be getting duplicate articles, just
lots of these sendsys messages, and the history file has been rebuilt
several times.
My news host config:
Sun 3/160
SunOS 4.0.3
NNTP 1.5.7
B News
If anyone has suggestions as to where to look to solve this problem, I
would really appreciate it. And, please, don't suggest "Switch to
Cnews," as I plan to do this in the near future, I just don't have
time at the moment.
