[news.software.b] B-news 2.11.19 expire -r dumps core

mrapple@quack.sac.ca.us (Nick Sayer) (01/21/91)

Weekly the two sites where I take care of news run an expire -r
to make sure some article doesn't get lost. This week, both
sites dumped core during the process. This leads me to
believe some article last week had a messed up message-id.
Has anyone observed similar behavior? Is there already a fix
for this? I do not believe /bin/sort is at fault. The last
message before the dump was from sort and was something to
the effect of "LINEFEED missing before EOF."
