We are running B News 2.11.19 under SunOS 4.0.3 here.
Recently there has been some discussion about how to gateway mailing lists into
news groups. I would like to gateway some mailing lists into local newsgroups,
and several of the methods already mentioned seem to do that just fine, except
for one thing: I would like to preserve the From: header of the mail message as
the From: header in the resulting news article, just like regular articles have
that are received through rnews. This would make the article heading summary
look normal in the various news readers, and make things look cleaner.
Whenever I use "inews -h" to insert mail messages into the news system, the
From: headers always end up as "uucp" or "root" or whatever.
Am I really trying to "forge" messages? Is there something easy that I am
missing?
