Our site recently moved from Bnews to Cnews, and to my dismay the Lines field dissappeared from local postings. I would not have noticed this normally, but when all postins to the local newsgroups start showing up in xrn with "none" in the lines indicator it is not hard to put two and two together. I did a little digging into the code, but only far enough to see that the lines field is included in the data structure for the header (i didn't get to the part that actually puts it in...) Can anyone out there help me? I really need this field... jim mccoy

If you really want it, all you need to do is uncomment the relevant lines in inews. That will put it into local postings; nothing will insert it into stuff coming in from outside.
