I've just installed the latest revision of c-news, as of 26-March-91, and have the following configuration: SCO Unix V 3.2. v2 An installed version of 2.11B that has been running for a couple of years, without a hitch. I've spent several hours going over the scripts and can't seem to find the nature of this particular error. If you've seen it, and have a clue, please let me know. News is received and batched to /usr/spool/news/in.coming, by rnews, as planned. Next newsrun moves the file to bad, and relay news reports: relaynews: set[ug]id failed (Bad file number) An e-mail message is sent indicating: relaynews <`bad/670138186.Z' failed, status 1 (see errlog) The file is uncompressed, then rejected for some reason. I've reverted to Bnews until I can find the problem. -Alex
