We are running Cnews DEC 15th patch level. I have recently noticed that the newsgroups file has lots of duplicate entries. These vary only in the description field, often just differing amounts of white space. Presumably this is caused by new descriptions coming in in checkgroup messages? But why isn't CNews simply replacing the line instead of inserting a new entry? Is this a bug or have I got a corrupt script laying around which is bungling the updating?
