Is the statement "I guess I'll just have to unsubscribe to net.* if this keeps up" supposed to be a threat? Every time a discussion in net.* turns to some topic considered boring by some (regardless of its relationship to the subject matter of net.*), members of the subscription list are forced to read a lot of mail from complainers about how this belongs in net.x.y.z. All survey mail that I've seen has been marked in a see-thru wrapper, e.g. Album Survey. All complaining seems to come in a plain brown wrapper, often disguised as a survey list rather than a complaint about such lists. If you don't like the current fare in net.*, try unsubscribing for a couple of weeks and the topic will probably shift to another area. If the mail on a particular topic is too overwhelming to read (or not read via "n"), did you ever pause to think that this implys great interest on the part of at least a large segment of the subscribers? So instead of taking your ball and going home, grow up and sit out a few innings! If the complaining keeps up, I will be forced to unsubscribe to net.*! Tom LeBlanc uwisc@leblanc P.S. I can think of nothing more relevant to net.movies than a movie survey. Quite a number of people complained about that survey. I can think of nothing more relevant to net.records than a record survey, which unfortunately occurred in net.music. Quite a number of people are complaining about that one too (its existence, as opposed to its location).
