While sorting through my C-news (latest) log file looking at the possibility
of notifying people automatically about dropped articles, I found the
following -- it was dropped due to a "no Date: header" line, but here;s
   the article header:

   |Newsgroups: comp.protocols.appletalk
   |From: brianb@kinetics.com (Brian Bulkowski)
   |Subject: Re: AppleShare Volume Limits

It's complaining about no Date: header because look at the garbage
that novell is putting out in the Sender: header -- that's not valid
by any stretch of the imagination. I suspect that C news is giving up
once it sees that and never seeing the Date: header at all.

Glad these are being dropped, perhaps it'll get novell to fix their
broken software. MH barfs on these headers too, when I scan the news
spool with MH as I do quite a bit this gets in the way too.
news@novell.com appears to be mwilliam@na.novell.com (Mary Williams),
a note to her should suffice. Probably a stray newline in a file
somewhere.
