I suspect that C news is giving up once it sees that and never seeing the Date: header at all. Glad these are being dropped, perhaps it'll get novell to fix their broken software. MH barfs on these headers too, when I scan the news spool with MH as I do quite a bit this gets in the way too. news@novell.com appears to be mwilliam@na.novell.com (Mary Williams), a note to her should suffice.
