I currently have version 1.4 of XLISP running on an HP Integral Personal Computer under HP-UX 5.0 and would like to upgrade to the most current release. (I believe version 1.6 is about to be released). My primary motivation for wanting the new version is to be able to experiment with the Visual Syntax editor presented on page 135 of the February 86 issue of BYTE. I am assuming that the editor will run without any modifications to XLISP. (If that's not the case would somebody let me know?) Thank you John

I recently spoke to Betz and XLISP 1.6 is now available on his bulletin board system. I have not yet pulled it down, but unless it shows up around here soon, I will do so. If someone a little closer to New Hampshire is interested in getting it, here is the number: (603) 623-1711. It allows public logins without pre-registeration. He keeps the source in a IBM-PC ARC archive so you should probably use a PC to get it, unarchive it and then post it to net.sources. Bill Bogstad - bogstad@hopkins-eecs-bravo.arpa
