[news.newsites] New Site at Brown University

rjd@nancy (Rob DeMillo) (05/08/87)

Well, we'll give it a try....

europa is a VAX 750 at the Brown University Planetary Science Group.
That in itself isn't so bad, but for the fact that we are running
EUNICE on top of a VMS operating system. I have been trying to get
this link going with our good neighbors at brunix now for about
4 months. As you may expect, EUNICE is not very well behaved, and
this link may wind up being quite flaky over the next few months until
I get the hang of flying her...

There are certain things that they never warn you about when you get
your comp sci degree...and EUNICE is two of them....
