I am currently involved in a project that is attempting to define some useful software metrics for LISP. In imperative programming languages a simple count of lines, as well as some notion of 'program density' are often used as metrics. The functional programming environment seems to be a quite different situation, and measures such as number of lines does not seem to say very much about the actual size (complexity) of the program in question. I am looking for information, literature or just plain opinions on what would be good things to measure. Thanks much, Bret A. Mckee (hpfcla!bretm)
