Anybody know if site "linus" is still alive? Our link to them has been
dead for nearly a month, and I've been unable to raise them by other
paths (or even get loop mail through successfully).

A quick grep through /usr/spool/news shows that at least gatech, necntc,
decvax and encore are on speaking terms with linus.
