Let us not forget "Take a Walk on the Kosher Side" by Gefilte Joe and the Fish (I kid you not!)

Speaking of horrible music, "Take a Walk on the Kosher Side" brings up some thoughts. I once heard a song called "He's a Rabbi," which was a wonderfully horrible parody of "The Leader of the Pack." (There are hundreds of wonderfully horrible parodies of "Leader of the Pack.") In "He's a Rabbi," she takes him home and her parents won't accept him, the comparison between a motorcycle gang leader and a rabbi is quite humorous. My favorite radio station (WFMU, East Orange, NJ) plays Jewish and Hebrew music in the mornings. If you want to hear horrible music, listen to this show - some of their music is fine, but there is one kind that drives me nuts. The type I have in mind usually has a religious subject matter. The singers are pre-pubescent yeshiva (Jewish parochial school) boys choirs, and there is usually one yeshiva boy who sings solos. There is nothing quite so vile as the sound of one of these yeshiva boy solos. Like hungry wolves in the desert. Don't call me bigoted or racist or prejudiced, I was a pre-pubescent yeshiva boy with a whining voice myself for several years, and I had the consideration not to sing.
