On Sunday, December 27th, I am told that "rutgers" will be down for a period
of about an hour or two. Unfortunately, no one knows exactly when this will
happen. We believe it will be sometime between 7am and 1pm. Our
communications staff is coming in to do major maintenance work throughout
sections of the machine room. Their plans are actually somewhat staggering.
These guys are going through all sorts of contortions to keep "rutgers"
downtime to a minimum. This includes bringing the system down, moving it
and its telecomunications apparatus, and bringing it back up. They're good
but I'm sure we're all aware that if anything can go wrong, it probably
will. So, if you find that "rutgers" is down for the entire day, don't be
surprised.....
