Over the next few weeks UCSD will be moving the main campus mail and news gateway from the machine 'sdcsvax' to a new system 'ucsd'. New uucp map entries will be posted as soon as we are certain what they should contain. I will be contacting each of our uucp, mail, and news neighbors individually to arrange for the changeover and to ensure that connectivity continues. After a period of parallel running, sdcsvax will cease to handle the campus gateway function, and will be devoted entirely to research.
