Due to an unexpected clash of personal business, our regular system admini- stration staff has been reduced from five people to two for the next week or so. We already have a huge backlog of requests for UUCP connections, source archive information, and so on; these are just going to have to wait a while longer. News and mail will continue to flow normally, but requests requiring human assistance will not be acted on or even acknowleged until the staffing gets back to normal. (I'm not SysAdm; I'm in R&D. I help where I can, but I have projects of my own that are behind schedule.) <csg>
