I have returned from vacation and the machine has returned to life. Any
pending transfers should be kicked in the butt again if your system has
stopped trying because of too many failures.
Sorry for the grief. Mail and news seem to be recovering from the three
day outage. I suspect communications will return to normal after the
current news flood ends.
