Some testing here has tentatively suggested that the Racal-Vadic 3451PA is more reliable in completing autodialed calls if the phone number is sent to it slowly instead of in one full-speed burst of characters. I have no idea why, and am not positive there really is a problem there, but thought I'd mention it in case anybody else runs into it.
